Gurdwara Shri Manji Sahib, Bharatgarh
This sacred site is located in the village of Bharatgarh, district Rupnagar. Bharatgarh is situated on the road between Rupnagar and Sri Anandpur Sahib. When the Kashmiri Pandits approached SRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR SAHIB JI for help in saving their religion, GURU SAHIB promised them every possible assistance. On the 11th of Harh, Samvat 1732, after offering prayers at Sri Anandpur Sahib, GURU SAHIB set out on his journey. He stayed at this place on the first night and connected the gathered congregation with Naam (the divine name) and Gurbani. The next day, GURU SAHIB proceeded from here, traveling through Bahadurgarh and Patiala, before eventually reaching Agra, where he voluntarily gave himself up for arrest.
