Gurdwara Shri Jandsar Sahib, Village Har Raipur
This sacred site is located in the village of Har Raipur, District Bathinda, and is blessed by the presence of SHRI GURU HARRAI SAHIB. GURU SAHIB arrived here with an army of 2,200 horsemen and stayed for 22 days. The land where GURU SAHIB set up camp belonged to Khiali Pandit. The places where GURU SAHIB tethered the horses are still marked by the presence of kikar (acacia) and jand (Prosopis) trees.
Khiali Ram had planned to make a broom from the jand tree branches, but when he returned the next day, he found the branches had already split into three parts. Chaudhary Mohan's son, Kala, was the chief of Meharaj. GURU SAHIB bestowed the royal blessings upon his nephews, Phool and Sandli, at this very site. These blessings eventually led to the formation of the princely states of Nabha and Patiala.
Once, Bhai Bhagat Singh's son, Gora, was waving a fan over GURU SAHIB when Bhai Jassa made a derogatory remark about Gora's religious mother. Bhai Gora, in GURU SAHIB's presence, did not respond, but later, his men killed Jassa near a tree by the village pond.
