Gurdwara Shri Rajo Poojo Phalo Phoolo Sahib, Pilkani
This sacred place is situated in the village of Pilkani, in the Rajpura Tehsil of District Patiala. SHRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR SAHIB JI visited this site. At that time, due to a natural calamity, this village was buried under debris. Since it was settled on ruins, it was earlier known as "Pilkani Thehri." People were hesitant to live in this area, so only a few residents stayed here. When GURU SAHIB visited the nearby village of Ugani, a resident of that village, Bhai Dharma Ji, went to have GURU SAHIB’s darshan. He humbly requested GURU SAHIB to visit his village. Accepting his request, GURU SAHIB came to this place, and the devotees gathered to welcome and honor him with great respect. GURU SAHIB imparted the teachings of remembering and chanting God’s name.
Pleased with the devotion and service of the people, GURU SAHIB gave his blessings and said, "Rajo Poojo, Phalo Phoolo" (meaning "Worship, Flourish, and Prosper"). He also declared that the community kitchen (Langar) will always remain in service at this place, and this land will be filled with prosperity and joy.
