Gurudwara Shri Chola Sahib, Kaleke

 

GURDWARA SHRI CHOLA SAHIB is situated in Village Kaleke, Teh Baba Bakala, Distt Amritsar. After becoming 9th GURU, SHRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR SAHIB JI went to visit Darbar Sahib. Masands closed the door for GURU SAHIB. On their way back to Baba Bakala, GURU SAHIB reached here in village kaleke visiting Guru Ka Baag and Valla etc, the Sikhs who reached here with GURU SAHIB saw a surprising thing in the wheat fields. GURU SAHIB went to the field with the Sikhs, While guarding the field, a child was feeding the birds instead of blowing them up. The Sikhs asked the child why he was not flying birds, to which the child replied that just as we are hungry and thirsty, so must they be. GURU SAHIB asked the child where did you learn this and the child said that a saint used to take a bath and utter these wordings "Sabna Jia ka ik data, So main visar na jai". GURU SAHIB asked what is your name. The child told me his name is Naru. GURU SAHIB took Naru with him along. When GURU SAHIB went to the shrines, Naru was present in the service of GURU SAHIB. When GURU SAHIB went to Delhi to give his head, Naru was along with. Arriving in Delhi, GURU SAHIB ordered Naru to attend the service of SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI . Following the orders of GURU SAHIB, Naru came to Sri Anandpur Sahib from Delhi and attended the service of SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI . SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI made Naru Nar Singh by giving him nectar Nar Singh was injured while leaving the fort of Sri Anandpur Sahib with GURU SAHIB. A Khatri Sikh from Ghanoli served Nar Singh until he was healed. After recovering, Nar Singh went to Damdama Sahib, Talwandi Sahib and placed his head at the feet of GURU SAHIB. At that time GURU SAHIB was taking a bath in the morning. GURU SAHIB got pleased by Nar Singh's gesture and gave the following blessings.
