Following this Bhai Ji along with a sikh troupe reached Amritsar and met the fifth GURU SAHIB where Bhai Ji asked GURU SAHIB for a blessing of a name. GURU JI told him that it is very difficult to follow Gurmukhi, you would need to abandon all your wealth. Bhai Teertha Ji kept asking to be blessed with a name. After going through a lot of difficulties & tests by the GURU, the day came for the GURU's immense blessings. The fifth GURU got to know about it through His splendid powers. GURU SAHIB reached there along with his followers and ordered Teeratha Ji to come out of the well & throw away the wood. But Teeratha Ji requested that the wood would go wet & the community kitchen would not run without it. The followers firstly took the wood out & then took Bhai Ji out. At that time, GURU ARJAN DEV JI took Bhai Ji in his arms & said (Manjh Piara Guru Ko, Guru Manjh Piara | Manjh Guru Ka Bohitha, Jag Langanhara | ) From now you are not Teeratha, you are Manjh, You are Bohitha meaning that you are very close to me.
