GURUDWARA SHRI MATA SUNDARI JI SAHIB is situated on the Deen Dyal Upadhaya Marg, behind J.P. Nayak Hospital and adjoining to Ghalib Urdu Academy. When SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI moved to Deccan from Talwandi Sabo, he desired Mata Sundari Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji to proceed to Delhi. Both Mata Sundari Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji stayed at Haveli of Bhai Jawahar Singh in Turkman Gate Later on Separate haveli was built for them where they lived with their adopted Son Ajit Singh after SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI left for heavenly abode. Mata Sundari Ji was in high esteem and every one followed her instruction. From this Sacred place Mata Sundari Ji appointed Bhai Mani Singh Ji head Granthi Singh of Shri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar Bhai Mani Singh Ji settled the dispute between the Bandai and Tat Khalsa according to the wishes of Mata Sundari Ji. Here only Bhai Shihan Singh received the writing of GURU GOBIND SINGH JI from Bhai Mani Singh Ji and revised those writings. Mata Sundari Ji spent her most valuable time here, before she left fr heavenly abode. Her cremation was done at GURUDWARA SHRI BALA SAHIB along side with Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
